On returning to the hotel at 8.30pm we found that the bar and lounge area were closed to guests so there was nowhere to sit and relax before retiring. The lady on reception was packing up to go home and was not keen to open up the lounge area for us to sit for a while. There was no evidence that any other members of staff were in residence. Breakfast was poor with poor choice and once served, the staff disappeared into the kitchen never to be seen again. Uncovered food on display and little choice of cereal. Have stayed in more welcoming places in Oban and we thought it was expensive for what was delivered.November 21, 2016
